The Unexpected is Often So Much Better...
So it's Thursday evening, the last evening of camp and this year's experience has been both familiar and completely different. Unlike last year, my appetite increased while here and I've had seconds and sometimes thirds almost every single meal (probably because they have fish every meal and if you've eaten fish with me you know how much I love fish haha). Camp this year feels exactly like swamp does and its made life a lot less stressful for me. But I've really enjoyed my cabin and the kids. I have 13-15 year olds and its allowed me to reach out and meet so any new people this year unlike last year when I was focused so much on the little ones. I just had a ton of fun playing swamp ball and I'm looking forward to the starlight devo and dance party tonight. I'm gonna be tired but I know I'll be having a blast. Found out that I'm going straight from Kingston to Barbados so I won't get to travel back to the States with everyone like I wanted but I know that Barbados is gonna be amazing. Swamp Corps is turning into more of a success than anyone could have dreamed and i'm looking forward to the next pleasant surprise God will give us in Barbados. Pray for all of us! Love ya, Cam

So glad that you are able to reach out and make friends with the older kids this year. I know you are building bonds that will last into eternity. God is amazing and we are so grateful that you get to have this experience.

Cam, I really appreciate your blog. It’s clear that you’ve given your heart and love to your cabin. I’m very excited to hear the relationships you are developing along with your devotion to each camper. I’m very proud of you! I’m very proud of how much I know you are serving and giving to everyone at JamCamp. Keep up the giving even when you know the last hours are approaching. Cherish all the small and large talks that allow others to see your heart and your commitment to God. Share your struggles and dreams with your cabin as your point out that this week is amazing because of God. Inspire and encourage everyone!! Mom and I miss you tons and can’t wait to see you at the end of next week. I love you!! Dad (Mr. Justin).
