9,043 miles... That's the distance between my home in Atlanta, GA and our camp in Chennai. While home feels distant and far away, I've never felt more accepted and loved so quickly by the campers. The lives and stories of the campers and counselors not only humble, but inspire me. Their spirituality is lived out in their day-to-day lives and isn't just a process that is taught. Last night, we had our Starlight devotional on the beach with the moon's rays reflecting off of the tranquil ocean; easily the best Starlight devotional I've ever experienced at camp. The kids go home tomorrow, and while I will be grateful for the rest and sleep, I will deeply miss my Indian friends. I pray that what they have learned and experienced will help them build a deeper understanding of God.
